1. The 60s

   In the late 1960s, young Ulisse, thanks to his intuition and characteristic tenacity, embarked on a new career adventure and founded Cereria S. Giacomo. After working as a miller in his father's mill, Ulisse decided it was time for a change and to follow his dreams. He wrote an article to a local newspaper asking for clarification on the fundamental artisanal processes involved in making candles. He found the answers he needed and within a few years launched his new business.

2. The dawn

   Thus began a period of research and study of materials, experiments that Ulisse pursued with great passion until he found his calling as a wax and paraffin craftsman. Production began, along with the search for his first customers. The entire production process rested on the shoulders of Ulisse and the first employees who believed in his idea. Deliveries themselves were made by Ulisse, who, on his Lambretta loaded with packs of spark plugs, traveled from customer to customer to deliver.

3. The first successes

   The company's core business, as it would now be called, was the marketing of votive and liturgical candles. The production department focused on parishes, which proved to be the primary customer for the newly founded candle factory. Its successes led, within a few years, to the purchase of the first machine for mass-producing candles.

4. The Innovation

   Meanwhile, his son Emanuele was taking his first steps in the waxworks and quickly developed a passion for working with wax. Soon, the hobby turned into a full-fledged profession, to which the young Emanuele developed a passion, adding his knowledge as an IT expert. In fact, in the mid-1990s, Emanuele launched the waxworks online, launching one of the very first e-commerce sites dedicated to candle sales.

5. The present… the future

   For about ten years, Emanuele, in addition to working alongside his father, has been introducing substantial innovations. The wax factory constantly adopts new and more efficient technologies, both in terms of materials research and production processes. This approach has led Cereria S. Giacomo to strengthen both its production and sales departments, consolidating and expanding its sales channels. Cereria S. Giacomo offers its products not only to the traditional religious sector, but also to restaurants, hotels, caterers, and event planners , and generally wherever candles contribute to creating an evocative and elegant atmosphere.
